Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, company, phone, title, and a securely hashed password.
• Booking details: the name, email, phone, time zone, and answers you give when booking.
• Meeting data: who joined and when, device type, connection quality, and — only if the host turns them on — recordings, transcripts, captions, chat, notes, polls, and whiteboards.
• Billing: plan, seats, and invoices. Card details stay with Stripe.
• Security data: a one-way hash of your IP address, browser type, and sign-in attempts, used to stop fraud and bots.

Why we use it

To run meetings and bookings, send confirmations and reminders you asked for, bill workspaces, keep accounts safe, fix problems, and follow the law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

• The business you book with or meet with (they control their own workspace).
• Service providers who work for us under contract: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), our email and text providers, and our self-hosted video servers.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people from harm.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

How long we keep it

Workspace data stays until the workspace deletes it or closes (then within 30 days). Security logs are kept up to 12 months. Billing records are kept as tax law requires.

Security

Every company’s data is walled off in the database, connections are encrypted, secrets are encrypted at rest, and sign-ins are rate-limited. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you we will tell you as the law requires.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your personal information, or stop texts and emails. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Use the request form below, the Opt-out page, or email us. We answer within 45 days and may need to confirm it is you. If you booked with a business that uses Friendly Meet, we may pass your request to them because they control that data.

Children

Friendly Meet is not for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
